Our group of six went here for our first dinner in San Diego for our ladies trip. We were not disappointed. We made a reservation ahead of time about 30 days in advance when we were planning our itinerary. When we arrived, someone greeted us right away. Since we did an early dinner before a show, it was not too busy at this time. They sat us at a high top right away. Matthew was our server and bartender. He was AMAZING!! Excellent service from start to finish, was able to balance all the tables on the floor and the bar, and was extremely attentive the entire time. He smiled the entire time and gave us great recommendations on food and drinks. We had a birthday celebration and he sang in an incredible voice (like an opera performance) and brought out a plate of dessert with a candle and our order of churros. All our food, drinks, and dessert was so yummy! Service was wonderful. Restaurant is nicely decorated, spacious, and clean. If you're looking for a good Latin restaurant in gaslamp, Sevilla is the place! Look for Matthew :) What we ordered: Papas brava Croquetas de queso Calamari Shrimp tacos Baked empanadas Quiche-no meet Churro with chocolate dip

The service was wonderful and the vibe of the place is just amazing! It gives off a very cozy feeling with lots of friendly energy but their food is just okay. For the price paid, I expected the food to be at least enjoyable especially the paella. The paella came out looking very pretty but the flavor is a little bland and the rice was soggy. Like there's soft rice and then there's soggy rice. Still a cool restaurant to go with friends for the great environment!

We came here during a weeknight and it was still so packed! Love the live music and how lively it was even on a weeknight! We had the traditional paella and it was really good! The only downside is it can be a bit pricey for its portion. We also had the sangria and it definitely did not disappoint. I love how tasty and sweet it is, you can barely taste the alcohol! Servers were also really friendly and would constantly check in on you. Would love to come and visit when there's more people dancing, but overall, a really great experience!

Fried calamari, enormous portion and tasted great. Shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, both outstanding. Shrimp and halibut ceviche top notch. The only thing I wasn't very fond of, the bacon wrapped dates. Somehow I missed the fact that it's bacon wrapped to start with. Just not very flavorful. Inadvertently came in during happy hour so prices were quite reasona

Honestly love Cafe Sevilla. We stopped in for happy hour and had a really good time. It's great that it lasts until 6:30pm. Loved the spicy octopus ceviche. Tender octopus, the right amount of citrus, and crisp grilled bread with avocado to round it all out. Lamb sliders were really tender also. It almost melted in your mouth and the French bread wasn't too hard nor did it cut up my mouth. Glad it came with greens because your boy tries to stay regular. Can't not have croquettes at a Spanish restaurant! Fried, cheesy, slightly spicy. Came with a little tomato sauce underneath to offset the rich fried goodness. Just got beer and an espresso martini to drink but no complaints. Food came out super quick, which we appreciated since this was our first stop for happy hour. They also have tons of different paellas to choose from and would probs try that next time.

This joint has been on my list for awhile now, and we finally got in to check it out... It was happy hour so we had to try nearly everything! All the food was great, though the garlic sauce was severe! My only criticism is the papas bravas should have been crispy for texture. Ambiance is luxury medieval, service was distracted, and prices were in line with the tourist district... This is my go to tapas joint now, it made the list!
